It's a rare treat nowadays when I discover something I hadn't already heard, so imagine my surprise when I found the album This Day And Age, which came out in 1980 and was pretty well lost to history. I liked it enough to give it its own page on the Crap From The Past website, and I will now freely spread the power pop gospel of D.L. Byron.
The music: his amazingly good first album, This Day And Age (1980), complete in streamable mp3 files and pictures, plus a boatload of extra tracks!
We did a 90-minute with D.L. Byron on August 1, 2003, and you can hear the whole thing here.
Here's a link to D.L.'s own website - www.zenarcherrecords.com. He's a great guy - feel free to send him email; I'm sure he appreciates hearing from us fans!
Many of you have asked me how to get a copy of This Day And Age on CD. At present, it's never been released on CD, which is one of the great injustices of pop music. At D.L.'s request (since he'd like to get the album re-released as well), I'm going to give you an address to write to.
